The beloved home-renovation phenomenon returned to television in 2020 with a fresh vision on HGTV, hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family). The reboot carried forward the original’s signature blend of transformation and humanity — surprising deserving families with life-changing home rebuilds crafted by an expert design team including Breegan Jane, Carrie Locklyn, and Darren Keefe.

As Casting Producer, William Sikora III played a key role in developing and telling the stories of families whose lives were transformed on screen. He was deeply involved in identifying authentic, emotionally resonant stories that embodied the show’s core mission — hope, community, and renewal.

Sikora helped shape episodes like the Barobi Family story, working directly with families to uncover their personal journeys and translate those experiences into compelling television. His role combined emotional storytelling, research, and on-camera development — ensuring each featured family’s voice, heart, and struggle were represented with empathy and truth.

This reboot of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition brought a modern perspective to an iconic format — a celebration of humanity, storytelling, and transformation that continues to inspire audiences.
